WWW Wednesday for September 11th

www_wednesdays4

A quick post this morning, since I am running late. WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by the lovely MizB at “Should Be Reading.” Three questions, three answers. Go!

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen. I am really enjoying it. It’s definitely a different spin on the Robin Hood story, that’s for sure. I’m also reading through The Anatomy of Story by John Truby because I’m starting to outline a new novel of my own. Not because I’m stopping work on my previous project, but I need something to cleanse the palate so I don’t get stale. Besides, I’ve hit a bit of the writer’s block with my other project, so I’m hoping starting up something new will break me out of it.

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished The Bones of Paris by Laurie R. King. The podcast got this one as an ARC and reviewed it last weekend. I will be posting a review here as well soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I need to start a re-read of Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. The Mallorean Tavern is reading it for their book club starting this month. I love this book, so it won’t take me long. The next book on my stack is If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I’ve heard really good things about it, so I’m looking forward to reading it.

Please leave your WWW posts in comments!

  1. Hey, I have the Gayle Forman book. Haven’t read it, of course… it’s not my usual cup of tea, but Holly read it and said it was really good. She also said it made her cry, and I usually don’t like stuff that makes me cry, which is why I haven’t read it yet.

    • I know what you mean. I keep thinking to myself if new, good books would quit popping up on my radar, maybe I could get caught up on all this other stuff I have to read! Doesn’t happen though. Oh well. Ready Player One is a fun book and I’m looking forward to re-reading it. Since I already know the story, I don’t need to think too hard. I can just relax with this one. Sometimes that’s really nice. 🙂
