Teaser-Tuesdays-Purple

Bringing back an old classing with Teaser Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you would like to play along!

  • Grab your current read.
  • Open to a random page.
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week comes from one of my favorite books – Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Anathema hadn’t really made herself at home in the cottage. Most of her implements were piled up on the table. It looked interesting. It looked, in fact, as though a voodoo priest had just had the run of a scientific equipment store.

~ page 133

Anathema Device is just one of the many, many zany and wonderful characters in this book. I love it so much. Who knew the Apocalypse could be so much fun? I wrote a full review here, which I wrote way back in 2012. So it’s been a while, and I am thoroughly enjoying reading through it again.

Please leave your teasers in comments!

  1. On her forearm was a mark in stark white lines, a four-tusked elephant crushing a whirlpool underfoot- a symbol of resistance in many realms near the equator. “I am not an agent of Atlantis.”
-The Perilous Sea, book 2 of the Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas

  2. This one sounds good. I’ve never read either author. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “MY (NOT SO) PERFECT LIFE”

  3. I love this one:)). Thank you for raising a host of really happy memories.
